Hey there readers,
Hope all is good. Here’s the next instalment of my infamous newsletter (infamous now, and maybe one day it will be world famous - I can but hope).
Disclaimer:
This is not perfect, and there will be typos and parts that are not neatly glued together. But the point is more to build up my newsletter count and have a bit of fun. You can point out my mistakes, and I will ignore you and make more of them.
You’re welcome!!
So, what’s on my mind? Keep reading….
What’s in the news?
British broadcaster in the news again
Again we are hearing stories of a big name presenter with allegations of wrongdoing. It seems like there was a certain era of time where the broadcaster was blindfolded to goings on under its own roof, and since hoped that sweeping it under the carpet would make it go away. The fact that this is a corporation that forces the British public to fund it by means of TV licensing, to then find out that this funding pays some hefty salaries and to some that clearly should have been let go many years ago is somewhat surprising. It’s great that these things are now coming to light and being dealt with, but it really calls for companies/organisations such as this to weed out the dirty and corrupt within.
What I’m Reading
Skilling Up!!
While it’s not quite the books that I would normally be sharing with yourselves, I am going through online tutorials and reading technical documents/help in relation to tools that I will be using for my journey into streaming.
What I’m Watching
Bel Air
In its second season, this is the remake of the 90’s tv show Fresh Prince of Bel Air which starred Will Smith. This is a more serious adaptation, with a host of flashy cars and designer wearing new cast. I would say you have to look at this with completely new eyes and forget the original (if you’ve had the pleasure of seeing it).
Listening
Listening to music has always been part of my DNA, and generally I steer more in the urban space. Having said that, I will open that boundary to almost any other genre just to inspire in the experimentation of my own productions.
Various Artists - Dance
As mentioned in the previous post, I’m looking in Twitch and some of the talented streamers.
I’ve been listening to a varied selection of tracks and thinking about getting into streaming. This would be the first time I do this kind of mixing, as I normally use a DAW (digital sequencer in essence) to create mixes, which I can refine until as perfect as I want it to be. But the real talent is being able to do this live and still keep the blending in sync. More on this in future episodes.
Having said that, I can highlight a couple of tracks that you should go and check out if you have a persuasion towards the dance genre of music. The first being from a long time buddy of mine, Darren Deluca and it’s called Shook Up.
The second being from a friend of mine, Lizzie Curious with her track entitled “Fiesta”. You can check it out from various outlets, here.
Travels
Rotterdam
For those that know me, know that I love to travel. Taking in the sights and culture of distant lands. Having been to The Netherlands before, and embracing the Amsterdam experience, Rotterdam was not so much at the top of the list. However, a few years on and a new opportunity arising, I find myself jetting off to said destination.
Despite the fact I wasn’t there for the purpose of tourism, I still had time to take in some of what Rotterdam is about.
Imagine waking up and realising that your lovely view has been obscured by a huge cruise ship. That happened on the last morning of the trip. Those things are really huge…In Real Life of course, as the picture above doesn’t give it justice.
Creative Zone
Creativity is the core of my existence, It’s a creative rollercoaster of producing either music tracks, mixtapes, 3d scenes, or digital garments. Sometimes you have to take time out, engulf yourself in new techniques and ideas and then go again. Watch this space….periodically new stuff will be here.
AI Assistance
This post, I will be showcasing what I created with the assistance of AI.
First up is a piece I call elegance. I don’t remember the program/site I used to create this, only that I wanted something elegant and must have a red couch with an amazing view.
Next up, I thought I would try to create a car that I once wanted so much, I was thinking of all kinds of side hustles to make the amount of money required to pay for it. Even though this is a sporty Range Rover, it still boasts elegance at the same time.
Check out those rims!!!
TWITCH
As I mentioned in this and my previous post, I will be exploring the possibilities for my Twitch journey. I have started installing the tools, viewing tutorials and reading documentation. In the next post I will start playing that back to you, step-by-step.
Advice
I saw this on a building as I was wondering around and about. Think about it. It’s true. It is virtually impossible to stay completely the same in the world we live in. Things outside of out control will force us to change whether we want to or not. Sometimes it will be for the good, and sometimes not, nonetheless it’s still change to maintain the norm.
Till the next time
And that is it, the end of this post. Hopefully this is enough to encourage you to return for more. Each post will be different, and include different elements of my thoughts depending on what has happened in the day-to-day life from the last post.
Remember, if you found this useful/entertaining just drop a like. If you have any suggestions for future post elements, just drop me a line. I have enabled the chat functionality, so you are able to communicate through that channel. Thanks.
Stay safe and I’ll catch you in the next post.
