Hey there readers,
Hold on to your hats, folks - because this edition of my newsletter is about to take you on a wild ride. With a title like "Post No. 4 - you know the score" (I can tell you’re still loving the originality), you can only imagine what kind of juicy content I've got in store for you. So, without further ado, let's dive in and see what all the fuss is about!
Disclaimer:
This is not perfect, and there will be typos and parts that are not neatly glued together. But the point is more to build up my newsletter count and have a bit of fun. You can point out my mistakes, and I will ignore you and make more of them.
You’re welcome!!
What I’m thinking
I’m thinking……why don’t I embrace what’s trending and use AI (Artificial Intelligence to those that have been living under a rock for the last few years), and help me deliver an even more impressive newsletter. Hell Yeah!!! Let’s do this. So, from this point I will be using ChatGPT (popular AI tool) to assist me in creating the content for this newsletter.
I asked for a red Range Rover with neon lights on a busy motorway, and Darth Vader holding a sign welcoming everyone to my infamous post number 4. in a fantasy style.
This is the start of my AI image creation journey within this newsletter. Whereas before I would have to use my hotter-than-hot creative skills, now I can cut my time considerably by just being able to think of what I want and communicate that to a super powerful computer that will turn my thoughts into real imagery. I’m still learning, but I really want to include you on that journey.
What’s in the news?
My News
This time I have decided to talk about my news rather than the news going on in the world. Sometimes it’s good to take a break from the real world and gather your own thoughts. Or just share a few things that happened. Please bear in mind that the relaying of these stories are slightly enhanced for your reading pleasure, but the core of the story is true.
”Freddy lived in a bustling city where everyone was always on the go. One day, as he was walking to the grocery store, he noticed something strange. His neighbours, whom he now fondly refers to as The Trolley Family, were pushing a shopping trolley filled with groceries right into their apartment building. It was an odd sight, but Freddy shrugged it off and continued with his and take a visit to the shops himself.
As he was browsing through the aisles, he noticed a new shopping app that had recently been launched at the store. It was an app that allowed customers to buy their groceries without having to wait in queues. Excited to test it out, Freddy used the app to select all the necessary items and quickly checked out.
However, as Freddy was leaving the store, a customer accused he of shoplifting - a bottle of Lucozade to be precise. Freddy was horrified, trying to explain that he had used the app and had already paid for his groceries. But the customer refused to listen, causing a huge commotion in the store.
Luckily, Freddy had a copy of the receipt in the app, and was able to show it to the customer. The customer was quickly educated on the concept of smart shopping and apologised for the misunderstanding. Freddy was relieved that the situation was resolved, but also realised that relying too much on technology could have its downsides.
As Freddy was leaving the store, still feeling a little flustered from the incident, he decided to take a break and head to the nearby Apple Store for some distraction. In search of technical assistance, Freddy asked to speak to someone who was more technically inclined. The assistant, however, just looked at Freddy with a blank expression on their face. It was as if they were speaking a completely different language.
In that moment, Freddy realised that maybe all this working from home wasn't a good thing. Maybe it was time to start interacting with people outside in the real world again. And who knows, maybe they could even strike up a conversation with The Trolley Family on his next grocery run.
A few days later, as Freddy was heading back from the grocery store with his own shopping trolley, he bumped into The Trolley Family. He struck up a conversation and found out that The Trolley Family had been using the shopping trolley to transport things for years. It was a tradition passed down from generation to generation, and it was a way for them to connect with their community and get some exercise at the same time.
Freddy was fascinated by this concept and asked if he could join them on their next excursion. The Trolley Family happily obliged, and soon Freddy found himself pushing a shopping trolley filled with groceries alongside his new friends.
As they made their way back to the apartment building, Freddy couldn't help but feel a sense of belonging. He realised that sometimes, the best way to connect with others was to step away from technology and embrace the simple things in life, like a good old-fashioned shopping trolley.”

What I’m Reading
The Psychology of Money - Morgan Housel
Quite an interesting book. I think it helps you to sometimes think outside the fact that many will say, “Money is the root of all evil”. Of course it isn’t, but we as humans have made it so, in order to separate ourselves from being the actual problem.
What I’m Watching
Bodyguard
I’ve had Netflix for a while now, and I have to say, the amount of Netflix Original movies I have seen as a recommendation and then wondered why I even bothered. But this Netflix series suggestion caught my eye and for some reason I decided to take a chance. I was not disappointed this time. Plenty of action and an interesting twist.
Rabbit Hole
Jack Bauer is back!!! Well, that is not entirely true. Kind of in a new action/plot/twist sense. Just a little slowed down compared to the 24/7 action of 24 [check out Post No. 1 if you don’t know what I’m talking about].
What I’m Listening To
Listening to music has always been part of my DNA, and generally I steer more in the urban space. Having said that, I will open that boundary to almost any other genre just to inspire in the experimentation of my own productions.
Nothing in particular that I’m listening to, but soon I’ll be back on the decks.
Games I’m playing
Hi-Fi Rush
Loving this game. It’s a cartoon style that is full of puzzles, humour and craziness. Worth a spin!!
Creative Zone
Creativity is the core of my existence, It’s a creative rollercoaster of producing either music tracks, mixtapes, 3d scenes, or digital garments. Sometimes you have to take time out, engulf yourself in new techniques and ideas and then go again. Watch this space….periodically new stuff will be here.
Lockdown ‘20
I thought it would be nice to remember that 3 years ago we were caught up in what can only be described as scary times in the world. The idea of being forced to stay at home in the fear that there was a deadly phenomena that was taking down the global population. It’s great that we are able to read and look back to those times, but it’s also a time to remember those that unfortunately their lives were taken.
This snippet was created in response to the feeling that being in a lockdown created.
What advice can I give?
"The challenges that come your way are always within your capacity for growth and resilience, and can serve as opportunities for self-discovery, personal development, and meaningful transformation."
This not only reassures you that you have the inner strength to face and overcome difficulties, but also encourages you to view adversity as a pathway to growth and self-actualisation. It suggests that by embracing challenges, you can uncover hidden strengths, learn valuable lessons, and forge a stronger sense of purpose and meaning in your life. Ultimately, this perspective can empower you to face life's obstacles with greater courage, creativity, and compassion.
