Hey there readers,
Hope all is good. Here’s the next instalment of my infamous newsletter (infamous now, and maybe one day it will be world famous - I can but hope).
Disclaimer:
This is not perfect, and there will be typos and parts that are not neatly glued together. But the point is more to build up my newsletter count and have a bit of fun. You can point out my mistakes, and I will ignore you and make more of them.
You’re welcome!!
So, what’s on my mind? Keep reading….
We all have 365 days every year (366 in a leap year for the picky amongst us). The difference is what you do with each day.
Thinking
Here’s some wild, out there thinking…some may hint at conspiracy theories, which I’m not directing towards. But imagine this……
Living in the UK, you'll notice that the same month weather changes a lot from year to year. For example, August this year will be different from what it was last year or what it will be next year.
Now, let's think about something a bit unusual together. Imagine I told you about an idea that challenges how we usually think about things. What if I said that the government had a machine that could control the weather? This machine could make it rain more or less, or decide how windy it is, and create a storm like environment.
This might sound a little strange, but let's explore it further. Imagine a big, advanced machine tucked away somewhere, and it's like a super-smart puppet master for the weather. Instead of the weather changing by itself, this machine would be behind the scenes, pulling the strings to make things happen. So, when you experience a rainy day or a sunny one, it could actually be because of this machine.
Now, hold on a second – I know this might be hard to believe at first. It's like something out of a science fiction story (or maybe The Wizard of Oz). But think about how humans have come up with incredible inventions and ideas throughout history. People used to believe the Earth was flat, but we found out it's round. We built rockets to go to space, and we can talk to people on the other side of the world with just a small device in our pockets.
So, while the idea of a weather-controlling machine might sound wild, remember that humans have always pushed the boundaries of what's possible. This could be another one of those leaps, where we're using our cleverness to do something extraordinary – like controlling the weather. Let’s be honest though, if they did have such a machine, would the manipulation of people be much different? Worth a thought, right? And so ends our wacky ideas section. Let’s get back to reality.
Disclaimer: For those that are wondering, I just like to push the boundaries and create ideas that may some day turn into stories, this is one of them…maybe.
News
Blue Ivy transforms
This is Blue Ivy Carter, as most will know is the daughter of Jay-Z and Beyoncé. The reason it’s not a current picture is the reason I am bringing this to your attention. Clearly in this picture, she looks very much like Jay-Z, I’m sure you’d agree. However, just recently Blue Ivy has been in the spotlight for whatever reasons and OMG! It’s like a transformation I never expected to happen. As this is a newsletter I don’t have the ability to hide the following picture, but look at Blue Ivy now. She’s a clone of Beyoncé. I mean, where is Jay-Z? It’s like his genes have been extracted.
It’s quite incredible, don’t you think? Well, i’ll leave it there and seriously I am returning back to less risky ideas to showcase to you.
Reading
Think and Grow Rich - Napoleon Hill
This book is a best-seller, and has been around for a very long time. I can say that it isn’t a get rich quick book, it’s more change your mindset in respect of your dealings with money.
Watching
Black Mirror - Season 6
I have watched this some time back, and for some reason I didn’t watch the last episode (6). Finally completing that task, I have to say I really enjoyed it. I think this may also be the reason for my ‘Thinking’ section. Anyway, give it a watch it you want to consider something unusual to watch.
Listening
Listening to music has always been part of my DNA, and generally I steer more in the urban space. Having said that, I will open that boundary to almost any other genre just to inspire in the experimentation of my own productions.
Own Your Future (Tony Robbins / Dean Graziosi)
Ok, so this is going to sound confusing. I have read a couple of Tony Robbins’ books and while I can say that I am not fully consumed by the teachings (or as some would say brainwashed into believing). However, I think it’s good to experience it at least once. Why is this in the listening section? Well, as much as I would like to take hours out of my day just sitting and watching such a thing, the reality of it is, I don’t think I need to. Multi-tasking (yes ladies, I am a guy and I can multi-task) is a wonderful thing. So, I have this playing in the background and also carry on with other things I need to complete.
Games
Hitman III
I have started playing this game, as I remember playing the first one a few years back. I’ll maybe come back to you on my thoughts, as I was in an endless loop of the first task over and over, learning how it all works.
Call of Duty - Season 05
This needs no explanation, Call of Duty is that game that you always go back to.
Creative Zone
Creativity is the core of my existence, It’s a creative rollercoaster of producing either music tracks, mixtapes, 3d scenes, or digital garments. Sometimes you have to take time out, engulf yourself in new techniques and ideas and then go again. Watch this space….periodically new stuff will be here.
I know a lot of you out there are thinking, how are these newsletters put together. I’m also wondering the same thing, to check if I’m doing what the pros do. Anyway, for me it’s quite a simple process, I create a mini-zine (as below), and just fill it in as I go along.
When I have filled all the sections, or enough to be able to create a complete newsletter post, it’s a simple copy from the mini-zine. I know this may surprise many that know me, as I am usually a tech-first (save time) type of person, however, I do also like to use pen and paper. I can be old school like that.
Advice
Did you know? Real wealth is not what you have, but what you are. So rather than thinking you just have to build up huge amounts of money and material possessions to prove wealth, think about how you are as a human being. You only have to look at some of the lottery winners, who at one point have wealth, but because of what they are as human beings, end up making foolish decisions and lose it all.
Bicarbonate of soda & white vinegar
As this is advice, why not pass over to tips as well. I keep seeing this particular tip cropping up on my net travels. If you, for example have a cooker disaster (think spillage on the induction plate) and you are struggling to get it off. This can happen when you are busy doing something else and forget. Try Bicarbonate of soda and white vinegar combined (google the ratios). Leave them on for a while, and they will break it down, allowing you to remove the spillage with a lot more ease. Worth a try.
iPhone forced restart
Recently my iPhone froze and I wasn’t able to clear an app down, which stopped me from doing anything else. I couldn’t even quit the task, or do a quick shutdown/power off. Have no fear, there is a solution. If you quickly press volume up, volume down and then keep the power button pressed until the Apple logo appears, this will force a restart.
Till the next time
And that is it, the end of this post. Hopefully this is enough to encourage you to return for more. Each post will be different, and include different elements of my thoughts depending on what has happened in the day-to-day life from the last post.
Remember, if you found this useful/entertaining just drop a like. If you have any suggestions for future post elements, just drop me a line. I have enabled the chat functionality, so you are able to communicate through that channel. Thanks.
Stay safe and I’ll catch you in the next post.
